If that describes your aspirations, consider our Vanguard Accelerated Development Program (VADP), an unparalleled opportunity to accomplish your goals at one of the financial services industry's most respected companies. At each of our three U.S. locations (each with its own educational focus), we help candidates like you launch their careers.
Vanguard is one of the world's largest investment management companies, known for its client-first focus, high ethical standards, and collaborative, team-oriented culture. With more than 12,000 employees in locations in the United States, Europe, and Asia, we serve millions of individual and institutional investors with a range of financial products and services designed to help them achieve their long-term goals.
What's the Vanguard Accelerated Development Program?
VADP is a fast-paced, challenging rotational program designed to build your leadership and analytical skills as you prepare for a career in people leadership, client-relationship management, investment analysis, and project management. The 15-month program is divided into four rotations that teach you how to build relationships and motivate teams, expose you in depth to our diverse operations, and build your thorough understanding of financial services and investing.
You will spend your first rotation working directly with our clients. You will then complete a second rotation that hones your project management and data analysis skills. Your final two rotations will further develop your leadership, client, and/or investment analysis skills, based on your strengths, interests, and our business needs.
VADP is offered at all three of our U.S. locations. The concentrations and career options offered are specific to each site:
- Scottsdale, Arizona: People, client-relationship and project management
Rotations in Arizona take a multidisciplinary approach that prepares you for a career in either people leadership, client relationship management or project management. Each rotation exposes you to real-world situations and simulations that allow you to apply what you're learning to challenging situations. You'll heighten your industry knowledge and leadership skills and complete the program fully prepared to work with a team of professionals. All rotations and permanent placements occur in Arizona.
- Charlotte, North Carolina: Multidisciplinary to launch into people management
The focus of the North Carolina program is people management. You'll complete multidisciplinary rotations designed to explore people leadership, client relationship management and investment analysis. To gain a full understanding of the company and expand your networking opportunities, you will complete your first rotation in North Carolina, the next two rotations in Pennsylvania, and your final rotation and placement in North Carolina.
- Valley Forge, Pennsylvania: People and client-relationship management, investment analysis
The Pennsylvania rotations also are multidisciplinary, with assignments that explore people leadership, client relationship management and investment analysis. You'll complete all rotations and be placed at our headquarters in Pennsylvania.
Once you successfully complete the program, you'll assume a challenging role that suits your strengths and interests. You'll also work with your direct manager to identify the best career path for continued success at Vanguard.
